• Note: There is a time deadline of thursday april 22 at 12 pm mst for this. We are growing tomatos in a large scale hyproponic system. We are looking for a "bloom" nutrient for these tomatoes that comes in "one part" and thus requires no mixing (ie, most hyprodonic tomato nutrient formulas come in two or three different parts which must be mixed together). Name that one-part nutrient, give us the technical info on it, and the money is yours.

  • Thank you very much for the tip!

  • deeper... Since you did not specify that this nutrient must be available from any particular location, I will go ahead and provide you with information about just such a nutrient, which is available from the UK. Lightsite Hydroponics in Devon, England produces a brand of hydroponic nutrients called IONIC: "IONIC is a Single Pack Nutrient Solution for Hydroponic cultivation stronger and more potent than Formulex and designed for high performance. Until IONIC first appeared, all serious Hydroponic nutrients were supplied as twin packs. This is because the essential elements have a tendency to react with each other in the concentrate producing insoluble precipitates." "Growth Technology has been formulating and manufacturing nutrient solutions since the early 1980?s and we have always had the goal of producing a Single Pack solution without any residue. The project has been ongoing for several years and has involved countless experiments and many setbacks. Finally however our senior chemist Carl Barry has developed a completely new process of nutrient manufacture that uses a series of tightly controlled reactions to produce large complex molecules which contain the essential macro elements needed for plant growth in a stable and highly soluble form. This technical breakthrough has many important implications for the Hydroponic grower." Much more on the page: http://www.light-site.co.uk/nutrients.html The bloom nutrient you require is called IONIC Bloom: "IONIC Bloom is dedicated to the fruiting and flowering stage of plant growth, containing enhanced levels of Phosphorous and Potassium, the elements required for development of buds and flowers." Directions for use: "For GROW or BLOOM, add IONIC to tap water at the rate of 10 mLs per Litre. Target EC for most applications is 2.0 mS/cm2. Stir thoroughly. Check pH of final solution. It should be between 5.8 and 6.3. IONIC has a stabilised pH and it should not require correction. If adjustment is needed use Growth Technology pH UP or pH DOWN and follow instructions carefully." All of the above is from the same page cited earlier. That page alone is a goldmine of information of value to hydroponic growers. The homepage for Lightsite Hydroponics is here: http://www.light-site.co.uk/index.html ...and their contact information page is here: http://www.light-site.co.uk/contact.html I sincerely hope this is a workable supplier for your needs.
