There is no need to feel offended and certiainly not limiting yourself from participating/contributing any things you might want to say in AC forum. You never know if the information you have is of interest to people here or not, I say there is no harm if you just post it. Thanks for bringng this up anyway.

  • Excuse me, ralfkrippner, but we have been discussing this route for weeks now in this forum. If you wish to contribute in future, please check to make sure you are posting real "news" and not just cluttering our little corner of FlyerTalk with topic litter. Or get involved in an actual discussion. Posting for the sake of posting is not appreciated here, nor I suspect, elsewhere on FlyerTalk.

  • I suppose that was a very unCanadian thing for me to post, but really. To suppose that the fact that AC had started to fly from Canada to Melbourne, Australia was something not already posted and discussed here is the height of stupidity. Imagine one of us going to the LH forum to announce that that carrier started flying from Germany to Johannesburg... More useful might have been the information that KL was offering a very interesting incentive to get people to switch FF programs and carriers. The fact that a story moves across the wire services is not reason enough to rush to post it on FlyerTalk.

As I said above, you are more than welcome ralfkrippner, to participate and present your views and useful tips in this forum. But before I rush to post something in a forum I am not a regular contributor to, I crawl through the past 10-days of posts to see if it has already been posted, or at least run a "Search".

  • Hi to all you canadians,

Thanks for the replies - I think I'll visit this forum a little bit more often now. And if I become a regular here, such "mistakes" won't happen any more.

Shareholder: Thanks for the comment on the KLM-offer. I don't know if you've seen that, but this thing was first brought into FT by me (and is the busiest topic on the KLM-Forum since months...) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
