I have a connecting flight on 6/18 from a 5:45 arrival to HA Flight leaving at 6:30 PM from HNL/LIH.
This is only a 45 minute connection window, but I am told we need 1 hour minimum to connect in HNL.
Is it realistic to still try and make the 6:30 PM flight?
It's the last flight of the evening now.
Maybe they will add late evening flights between now and June?
Anyone know if the schedule gets bigger in June?

I have ridden CO73 (IAH/HNL) a handful of times in the past year and have found that it usually arrives early (at about 5:30/5:15ish). Like others have said, you will probably make your connection, but if not see if there is a later Aloha Airlines HNL/LIH flight that can get you there. I believe the last one leaves at 6:35, but that's another option and options are always good.
If not, call CO and explain your situation and ask to be placed on a connecting flight from EWR to IAH and get on CO Flt. 1, which leaves IAH at 9:40a and gets into HNL at 12:45a, or CO flt. 73 which will get you into HNL at 3:25 p.m. This will allow you ample time to make any connection from the main terminal at HNL to the interisland terminal.

[This message has been edited by slippahs (edited 04-26-2003).]According to the online sched., HA 375 (the one you're on) is the last one of the day. Unless your CO flight is late or you go outside the secure area, you *should* be able to make it, though. If you don't want to stress until the departure day, have your HA flight changed to the next morning. If you decide to risk it and don't make it, there are a couple of hotels near the airport where you could stay until the flight in the early am.My reservations on HA Flight #563 for July 2003 leaves HNL at 7:10pm and arrive in LIH at 7:47pm.Does anyone know if a HNL/LIH flight will be offered on June 18th that leaves HNL no earlier than 6:45PM?
RCFrom our experience, with only 45 minutes between flights you will make the connection but your luggage may or may not. I would pack some overnight items in your carry-on just to be on the safe side. It's a bit tight, but, if you get there on time and don't leave security, you should make it. Get your interisland boarding pass at your departure gate and check the luggage all the way through. When you exit your CO flight, go for about 100 yds towards baggage claim, then turn left towards gates 24-60 before leaving the secure area. Keep going inside the terminal all the way to the end (HA gates are 56-60). That's a 10 min. walk roughly. I don't expect HA to add later flights to LIH, but you never know... If you can't make your interisland segment because your CO flight is a bit late, they should let you fly the next day.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
